CFS fills Prairies Organizer position

Last year, we wrote about the absent Prairie Organizer position in the Canadian Federation of Students, a point of contention for the "No" side of last year's CFS referendum. Well, it would appear that that position has been filled: Alanna Makinson is the new Prairie Organizer for CFS.

There's a couple of relevant links that you can check out – a press release from the current URSU executive praises Makinson as having the "leadership necessary to meet and exceed the responsibilities of the position," and her LinkedIn profile shows that she was previously the Chairperson for CFS Manitoba, so it will be interesting to see what effects this new hire will have on CFS operations in Saskatchewan and at the University of Regina.
