Get in on all those sweet deals!

Can you believe it?! It’s practically here! You can feel it in the air, can’t you? The wondrous feeling of…uhhh, wonderment! Yes, everyone, it’s that time of year again, Black Friday! The day of the year where the United States goes absolutely insane and Canada goes fairly insane, a respectable insane, if you will. That being said, this Black Friday has got me going insane because it’s the perfect time to buy all the useless crap I don’t need in order to take up more room in my house. Why do I do this to myself?
Self-reflection aside, I do genuinely love Black Friday, as it gives me the opportunity to shop for holiday gifts that I normally wouldn’t buy at ridiculously high prices. Gifts such as, well, I don’t want to give anything away just in case someone I know (you know who you are [EIC’S note: you shouldn’t have!!]) is going through this piece. But, in terms of shopping for early gifts, there’s certainly is no better time to get it done than on Black Friday.
Taking gifts out of the equation, what else is Black Friday good for other than the aforementioned ‘buying crap that I don’t need’ angle? Well, there’s always the ‘buying the things you’ve always wanted but couldn’t until now’ argument. Listen, anybody who knows me knows that I love video games and movies. And, being a fan of both games and movies, Black Friday gives me the perfect chance to buy those items and add them to my ever-growing collection. I mean, not that I would do that, being the savvy spender that I am.
So, other than early gift purchasing and collection-growing, is there any other reason to get into Black Friday? Well, there is one, if you’re a gamer like me. With the day of deals fast approaching (Nov. 23, I believe), there is one big game to have come out recently that any button masher wouldn’t miss getting their hands on. I speak of none other than, Red Dead Redemption 2! (or as the internet calls it, ‘Rootin’ Tootin’ Cowboy Shootin’). This is, at least for this upcoming Black Friday, a great reason to become invested if only for the opportunities like this that present themselves.
So, with all that taken into account, I hope that you’ll shop safely on Black Friday (I wasn’t joking about the insane thing earlier) as you look for some slick deals to cash in on. If you don’t partake in the sales going on, then continue to enjoy being richer than the rest of us (especially me).
