Today is Spirit Day. If you don’t know what’s going on, click that link; the short of it is that, in the wake of the spate of recent suicides of gay teens like Billy Lucas and Tyler Clementi, a Canadian teenager proposed wearing purple on Oct. 20 to memorialize those teenagers and show solidarity with everyone else who’s sharing in their struggles.
