I need a new phone…HELP!

Okay, so here is this week's dilemma. The phone that I am currently using, the Sony Ericsson j300a (pictured), is the only phone that I have ever had and we are approaching our six year anniversary.

Though I have almost never had any problems with it and we have never fought I feel like it might be time to move on. I feel like I am keeping our phone relationship going because it is the only thing that I have ever known, there could be so many more opportunities out there, how do I know if what we have is special?

The other day someone told me that I should get an Iphone so that we could "FaceTime". My response was "What the hell is Facetime?" The phone that I am currently using is pre-cameraphone apparently cell phones have video calling these days…news to me.

So, here is my dilemma. It is clearly time for a new phone.. but which phone?! Most people swear by their Iphones, but there pretty boxy and I don't overly like the thought of spending $70.00 a month for a data plan (that's what it's called, right?).

This is going to make me sound like the biggest air-head but whatever.. my current phone is pink and I would prefer a phone that came in a cute colour and didn't look massive and awkward in my hand. I am sure some people reading this are saying, "get a case for it"… but it's just not the same.

Other people tell me to get a Blackberry, I still don't get the point of BBM. How the hell is it different then a normal text message. People tell me it's "instant", my texts seem pretty instant so I don't see what the difference is.

Then there are the android phones. I was going to say HTC, but I learned the other day that that was just the brand. The phone that I want is the HTC wildfire s, but effing Rogers doesn't have it.

So, after all of that, I need everyone's opinion.. what phone should I get?!

The Samsung Galaxy S is pretty good, although my friend has an HTC Incredible and it truly lives up to its namesake.

Well I like BBM because you can actually see when the person has read your message and if they have chosen to ignore it…..or not.  It's more like a msn chat, you can see when the person is writing a message, read their message, replied, etc…
