What the hell is going on in the Riddell Centre tonight?

If you're one of the handful of crazy folk hanging out in the Riddell Centre tonight, you're probably wondering what the hell is going on that there is an obscene amount of noise coming from the Multi-Purpose Room.

Well, my friends, it turns out that the U of R is hosting the Florida-based Christian metal band Underoath tonight at 7pm. It's 6:32pm, and I don't know if they've started early, or if they're doing their soundcheck, or if some opening band is playing, but it is fucking loud, and I don't know why.

Listen, I'll be the first to admit that I know nothing about Underoath. I don't think I had ever even heard of them until I looked up what was playing tonight in the Multi-Purpose Room on the Conexus Arts Centre site. Maybe I'm too much of an old man at the ripe old age of 21 to understand what kids hear in them, but from the confines of the Carillon office it just sounds like too much bass and far too many drum sounds.

Anyway, in case you can't tell, I came to campus tonight to get some work done, and am a little irritated at the noise in the Multi-Purpose Room. But, to each their own. I'll just amuse myself with drum covers of Underoath songs until their show is over.
